Conversations with Papa John, Vol. 1: The New Phase

Earlier this month, in a dream, Papa John made a pronouncement that the old cycle had come to an end, and the phase was changing, meaning we were transitioning into a new phase.

I proceeded to have a conversation with him because I needed clarity on certain things I was perceiving. This article is based on my conversation with Papa John, our father in the Lord at Plummet Missions.

In the very early hours of Wednesday, 17th September, Papa John was woken to the voice of the LORD saying to him, “Welcome the Holy Spirit”, which he of course did. It is his understanding that the coming of the Holy Spirit at this time is in the sense of coming to the fullness of manifestation for this time in which we live. That is to say that there is a coming of the Holy Spirit in a fullness for this season, and this is why he was asked to “Welcome the Holy Spirit”.

In the past few months, the relationship between the Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Lord, Captain of the Host, has been a matter weighing on our father’s heart, and he has been praying into it with members of his Apostolic team for clarity. If you ask me, I would say that this question was stirred up in his heart because we are approaching the day of encountering the Holy Spirit at another level. It also suggests that we are coming to a place to know the Heavenly beings closer than we have known them, and it is important for Apostolic authority to guide us into this knowledge. Papa John and his inner team of Apostles have been praying into this matter for a while because of the season of close encounters with Heavenly Personalities that we are coming into. There are mentions of prominent encounters with Angelic beings, appearing at crucial times that have stirred this seeking among the Apostles.

Such crucial appearings of Angels include;

  1. That spoken of in Exodus 23:20-21 - “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice and do all that I speak; …”
  2. At the opening of the prison door for Peter the Apostle in Acts 12:7-11
  3. The Angel that accompanied Paul on the ship to Rome, of whom Paul had this to say “For there stood by me this night the Angel of God, whose I am and whom I serve, saying fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee”. Acts 27:23-24
  4. The Captain of the Host of the LORD that met Joshua in Joshua 5:14 and led Joshua and the people to battle against Jericho.
  5. The Angel of the Lord mentioned in the war account of Mother Deborah in Judges 5:23.
  6. The Angel that stood with a foot in the sea and another on the earth, who held the title deed in his hand in Revelation 10.

Aside from those called angels, there is also another class of entities referred to as the Holy Watchers, who make decrees. Daniel 4:17 states, “This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men…” Are the Holy Watchers’ men of high spiritual degree? Or entities dwelling in other realms? I don’t know about you, dear reader, but I certainly would love to know the answer to this question.

Clearly, there are other entities given the title of Elohim that are not The Elohim, Father of our Lord Yahshua Ha Mashiach, and the seeking in the heart of the Apostolic team is on this matter, indicating we are in a season of another ascension, and where we are likely to encounter beings from a much higher dimension than we have previously known. It is an upgrade that is facilitated by the Holy Spirit coming to another dimension to lift God’s people to greater heights.

The 1988 Phenomena and the Apostolic Path of Papa John

In 1989, God called Papa John, our father in the Lord, out of the Babylonian religious system. He then left the Church he was pastoring, went home to stay, awaiting further instructions from Elohim. But the year before that was a sort of preparation. Though he didn’t quite know it at the time, his encounter with a book titled “88 Reasons why rapture will be in 1988” written by retired NASA engineer Edgar C. Whisenant, was part of why Elohim chose that time to call him out of the religious system. Whisenant’s conviction was based on biblical interpretations, numerology, and 23,000 clues to predict the rapture between September 11 and September 13, 1988, coinciding with Rosh Hashanah of that year. But the days came and passed without incident, as per a glorious appearing in the sky and the dead being raised. I smile at this point because we are in the season of women receiving their dead raised to life again.

But without any outward show of the event, the Christian community then was agog with talk. What happened? The prophecy seemed sure. Papa John went back to the Lord to ask him these questions, and The Elohim told him that Rapture did happen that year, only that it was not in the manner expected. Papa John was among those raptured because he heard the clarion call to come out of Babylon and ascend, and heeded the call. The rest is history, as they say.

A brief look at the scriptural prophesies about Babylon will help us handle things more firmly.

  1. Jeremiah 50:15 — “Her foundations are fallen; her walls are thrown down.”
  2. Jeremiah 51:58 — “The broad wall of Babylon shall be leveled… and her high gates burned.” A clear word that the famous fortifications would be brought down; even the gates are targeted.
  3. Jeremiah 51:44 — Judgment on Bel/Marduk includes the line that “the wall of Babylon has fallen.”
  4. Isaiah 13:17–22 — The Medes are stirred against Babylon; it becomes like Sodom, never inhabited again. While “walls” aren’t named here, the total desolation assumes the fortifications are overcome.
  5. Isaiah 21:2, 9 — Watchman’s cry: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon!”
  6. Daniel 5 — The writing on the wall (“Mene, Mene…”) judges Belshazzar; that very night Babylon falls to the Medes.
  7. Revelation 14:8; 18:2, 21 — “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great,” John uses the prophets’ language to speak of end-time “Babylon,” echoing the wall-and-city collapse as a symbol of proud systems undone.

Not meaning to point fingers or shame any group of people, but it does make you wonder what people are still doing in a system that collapsed in 1988. But the truth is that individuals will hear the call when their soul is ready to make that transition, but those who hear the call to come out of any system cannot continue to stay on for solidarity reasons or to save the people in the system. This can prove injurious to their spiritual growth. Staying means refusing to be raptured. My family and I heeded the call in 2003/2004, about a whole 15 years later. I was about 29-30 years old then, just hitting my first Saturn return and coming to a level of maturity (Saturn returns are markers in time that indicate growth and maturity, even as we see in the life of Yahshua, Joseph, and King David).

Astrological Timing of the Apostolic Team Coming Out

In January 1989, Papa John and Ma Lydia, his wife, left denominational Christianity to follow the Lord, eventually fellowshipping at home under the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction that spanned 1989-1990. Other members of his Apostolic team heard this clarion at the time as well and heeded the call. Brother Benjamin began hearing Pa Elton’s message on coming out of the system in 1988 as our father in the Lord, and eventually making a clean break in 1990 (his dear wife, Sister Obiageli, following in 1991). Papa David and his wife, Mama Motilayo, also came out of Babylon at the Saturn–Neptune conjunction, precisely in 1990. Brother Timothy, after all attempts to become a registered member of a religious structure had failed, heard the Lord to leave it all and go home in 1989; but it was in the years following that Elohim brought them all together as co-laborers and fellow travelers under the banner of Plummet Missions, a name that represents a device used to measure depth, a measure for the standard of truth of Elohim’s written word and present truth.

Saturn – Neptune conjunction in Capricorn, under whose transit the spiritual walls and city of Babylon fell, was also responsible for the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Here are a few global insights that help us see clearly that the 1988 prophecy was real, and Babylon was judged, and the Apostolic team’s journey was in sync with Heaven.

  1. Saturn–Neptune’s 1989–1990 conjunction in Capricorn showed up as Neptune (dissolving) meeting Saturn (structures/borders): the Berlin Wall opened on 9 Nov 1989, and communist governments across Eastern Europe rapidly collapsed (BBC News, 2019; Britannica, 2025; EBSCO Research Starters, 2022; Cycles of History, 2025).
  2. Saturn (reality checks) brought a global reality check on grand ideologies (Neptune)—exposing systemic rot, the Warsaw Pact unraveling, and negotiations toward German reunification as the Cold War order gave way (Cycles of History, 2025; The Astrology Podcast, 2025).
  3. Malta Summit (Dec 1989): US–USSR leaders effectively signaled the Cold War’s end—reframing the global order (Wikipedia, 2006; Seneca Learning, 2018)..

There’s more, but I think we get the picture with those 3 examples. The upgrade in the people of God who heard the call to come out of Babylon and obeyed may have been what triggered its global impact in the nations. Coming out of Babylon was an ascension at the time and still is for those who are yet to come out. Those who came out began to experience Elohim in greater measure, expanding spiritually into greater depth in God.

But 1989-1990 was not only famous for the collapse of Babylon and its systems in the world; other things happened as well. Here are some leaps of the 1989 Saturn – Neptune conjunction.

Here are the biggest 1989 leaps that made global communication faster and more open:

  1. The Web was conceived
  2. Commercial emails: The U.S. allowed experimental gateways from commercial services; MCI Mail became the first commercial public email service on the Internet (summer 1989), and CompuServe users gained Internet email addressing—bridging previously separate networks (Internet Society, 1997).
  3. Transatlantic capacity surged: The new TAT-8 fiber-optic cable (switched on Dec 1988) massively expanded bandwidth; by 1989, it enabled high-speed U.S.–Europe research links that directly strengthened early Internet traffic (Internet Society, 1997).
  4. Global coordination matured: Europe coordinating IP networking (May/Nov 1989), accelerating interoperable Internet growth across the continent (Internet Society, 1997).
  5. New national backbones lit up: AARNet launched in Australia (1989), establishing the country’s first permanent Internet feed and connecting universities nationwide to the global net (Internet Society, 1997).
  6. Commercial access began to emerge: PSINet was founded (Dec 1989) and started selling Internet connectivity soon after—an early step from research network to public/commercial Internet (Internet Society, 1997). So, we see that 1989 was the year of the internet. And what is the internet if it is not an expression of the qualities of the Spirit intersecting with human advancement in technology?

The Internet sends bits of information through electromagnetic waves (radio), electromagnetic fields around conductors (copper), and light (fiber). Magnetic fields are essential partners for generating, coupling, isolating, powering, and storing signals.

It’s a dawning for me as I type. No wonder Papa John was saying to me in the course of our discussion that what is happening now will lead to separation between people who are on board with Elohim’s present truth and those who are not. Really, nothing is new under the sun. It just varies in scale and dimension.

The collapse of walls is tied to the ascension of God’s people into the Spirit. It was true in 1988 -1989 -1990, and it is true today with the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune perfecting at 0° of Aries in 2026.

Is another Rapture in view?

There has been much buzz on social media in recent weeks about rapture taking place during the week of Rosh Hashanah this September 2025. Is a rapture indeed happening? Papa John believes so, and the Heavens bear witness to another ascension for the people of God. That was the point of his telling of the story about the book “88 Reasons Why Rapture will be in 1988” in the first place. But this time, his belief is that it will not be like that of 1988/89, though not the way many people think it will happen. Let’s use the development of the internet and its related technology as a guide. Today the internet has grown in leaps and bounds from the first web mail and the coming of the IP address to the point where AI is now a serious consideration to global safety. The concern for humanity is now about the ethical use of Superintelligence, with warnings to governments to seriously regulate activities around it. We are talking about AI becoming more intelligent than their creators and handlers, and going rogue. Let’s then consider what the Ascension of this day will look like against this backdrop.

Elohim is always ahead. As a result, at another Saturn-Neptune conjunction, a systems upgrade is here for humanity, for all those who hear the clarion call to ascend deeper into the Spirit. The coming of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter who will teach you all things and remind you of all that I (Christ Yahshua) have said to you beyond this earthly existence, will set you apart.

The coming rapture is an ascension and not necessarily an external thing.

Like Papa John said, the ascension will show those who have entered the door being opened and those who have not. Many things will be the result of this ascension, but the first thing will be that individuals will be taken, though not physically out of the world.

At the last conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in 1989, the walls of spiritual Babylon collapsed while the physical Berlin Wall fell, coinciding with greater communication access through the internet. This time, the wall of Jericho is billed to fall, and the city represents, according to Papa John’s teachings, “a realm where the wealth of nations has been hoarded and walled in, shutting out the righteous in the nations”.
