Jupiter, Tzedek in Hebrew, is known as the planet of expansion and growth, the Great Benefic, because of its usual easy, giving, graceful and expansive quality. In a dream in 2022, the planet was seen being ushered by singers, musicians and trumpeters into Aries with an instruction that we follow its movement. Since that year, we have kept track of Jupiter ingresses, its aspects with other planets during each orbit and the expression of it in our lives and in the nation. Every Jupiter ingress comes with a visitation and this one is no exception. We have since come to associate the planet of growth and expansion with Isaiah 54. Jupiter transits are generally associated with prosperity but the area of life expanded is dependent on the sign it occupies and alignments it makes with other planets and points.
The Closing Transit in Gemini
Since May 25, 2024, the planet of expansion has been in Gemini, an air sign that has to do with ideas, information, communication and communication devices, TV, radio, social media, networks, trade and trade unions, learning, logistics, local transportation, short trips etc.
Because Gemini and its ruling planet Mercury rule trade and tariffs, we saw the US trade/tariff wars causing many leaders in Africa to realign economic policies to benefit the interest of their own people first as if to say to America, “well, two can play that game”.
In Nigeria for instance, the present administration came up with a policy in the mining sector that foreigners who are interested in Nigeria’s raw materials will have to invest in refineries and factories with which to process those raw materials within the country and with local work force. This policy change is expected to create more job opportunities for the teaming youth population. Other countries canceled mining licenses with the US in a bid to put their countries first. So, the trade wars seem to be a blessing in disguise if only for motivating nations to look inward.
With Jupiter in Gemini, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (a very Mercury/Gemini ministry) Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, launched the first air cargo (Jupiter rules air travels) corridor connecting (Gemini and networks) Nigeria to Eastern and Southern Africa as part of AFCTA initiative, to reduce cost of export logistics (Mercury) for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME’s is ruled by Mercury).
There has also been significant information explosion, with the Ministry of information (Gemini ministry) hosting regular sector-specific Ministerial press briefings with reporters to spread the information about the present administrations work. Starscroll website was launched with Jupiter in Gemini among other accomplishments in study and learning.
As Jupiter approached Gemini ingress in 2024, Isaiah 54 was received with the Lord asking us to expand our minds and lengthen the cords of our thinking. Looking back today, I can see how much of what we studied in the past year has triggered significant mind shifts, a process still ongoing. We definitely need mind expansion to accommodate new light that God is bringing to us.
Jupiter Cancer Ingress – June 9, 2025 – June 30, 2026
Thanks be to God whose faithfulness we experienced with Jupiter – Tzedek in the sign of Gemini, but now with expectant hearts and joy, we must welcome the shift of Jupiter into Cancer on the 9th of June 2025, where it will stay till the end of June 2026, for approximately 13 months.
Themes to look out for
Cancer represents our instinctual need to give and receive nurture, which deeply connects it to motherhood and mothers as nurturers, protectors, and caregivers. Cancer resonates powerfully with women as it is ruled by the Moon, which flows with the rhythm of the woman’s monthly cycle. Jupiter in Cancer will therefore expand our need for nurture and our ability to recognize our personal need for nurture, as well as in our brethren, friends, and neighbors. It will not be out of place for issues concerning one’s maternal lineage to be highlighted in one way or another.
Cancer, being a water sign ruled by the Moon fosters heightened intuition, perception, judgments, discernment, expanded awareness/consciousness and wisdom of the feminine Christ and as such this transit will see growth, expansion of our abilities in this area as we act in faith, trusting the still small voice of the Holy Spirit within. Physics teaches that sound travels significantly faster in water than in air owing to tightly packed water molecules and loosely packed air molecules so also water signs facilitate greater hearing. Jupiter’s exalted position in Cancer will be a time to grow in hearing and discerning the voice of the Lord in greater measure. Meditation practice is also expected to be easier to grasp and to flow with.
Because Cancer represents one’s land of nativity and Jupiter is a planet of faith and priesthood, let seize this opportune time to contemplate and lean into the truth by faith that our spiritual land of nativity is in the Father who is The Source of all things and our Origin; and that we first descended from Him and now in this day must ascend back into Him. As it is written of the Father, Yahshua and Christ in Ephesians 4: 4-10;
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Therefore, the expansion of consciousness and awareness is to lead us to ascend back into the Father, our Origin, Source and Land of Nativity. Ascended ones will always have graces, virtues, giftings which they bring from the Father above to offer the world. This is what proper meditation should help accomplish in us and this is what is available in this season.
Cancer also speaks of our emotional needs and our sense of security, be it emotional security, food security, or protection of loved ones, protection of life and property. Cancer and its ruling planet the Moon, rules the wall around our homes because they provide a sense of security. Interestingly, the wall of Jericho was built during the age of Cancer, when humans began to settle down in communities around water bodies and to grow their own food which in itself is a catalyst for societal development. From history, we know it is extremely difficult, if not nearly impossible for a people who are not assured of the supply of food and shelter to profitably and sustainably engage in any other activity apart from the search of the next meal. Jupiter in Cancer may point to significant water projects such as the Bui Dam in Ghana commissioned in 2013 during Jupiter’s last Cancer transit.
Without food and security people cannot be expected to advance to greater developmental ideals. With so much talk of food insecurity today, I have faith that Elohim’s wisdom will be made available at individual and national levels for improvement in this area especially if we pray for such wisdom to be given to those in charge of providing that security. We are to pray for farmers and farming communities who could either be positively impacted through governments provision of adequate security for farming communities or suffer negative impact because Jupiter under certain conditions can expand the negative as well. The series of herdsmen attacks, especially of a prominent farming community in Benue state, The Food basket of the nation in the last couple of weeks, and the subsequent relocation of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Oluyede, to the Benue to restore security and protection to the state and the farming community in particular is possibly an early indication of what Jupiter in Cancer will be addressing, -Food Security.
In the last one week, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence has proposed that Nigeria build a wall of defense along our borders with Niger republic, Cameroon, Benin and Chad all of which are dealing with terrorists and militants to help with security. Since the last American presidential election, we all heard so much about the porous borders of the US. The acute need for the whole spectrum of the sense of security for Americans is traceable to that country being a strongly Cancerian with Sun, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury in Cancer.
Furthermore, climate change issues and possible extreme weather conditions could further impede food security efforts this year especially when Uranus moves into Gemini on July 7th going into August when it aligns with Pluto in Aquarius and Neptune – Saturn in Aries. Uranus in Gemini aligning with Pluto in Aquarius are a big deal as both are outer planets in air signs which can be associated with violent weather patterns. With Neptune and Saturn in Aries, we have all the outer planets in air and fire signs, with the exception of Jupiter in a water sign. This will be a good time to resettle communities living along flood prone areas. Shocking, surprising air and fire disasters are possibilities around July - August – October.
Jupiter in Cancer is also a pointer to home renovations, sale or purchase of a new home, moving into a new house be it at home or abroad, expanding the home, lengthening the cords of your habitation as stated in Isaiah 54 through new marriages, new babies being born into one’s family. If you have property that you are looking to the Lord for help to secure and gate it, this could be the year you are able to do it. Jupiter being exalted in the sign of Cancer, means that it is well placed, functioning maximally in optimum comfort and therefore action can be taken where it had not been possible before.
Deep rooted, foundational issues connected with legacy, heritage, ancestry, the land of nativity and the past are related to the sign of Cancer. This is something to be aware of.
In conclusion
One way to discern what this transit will be bringing to us on a personal level is look back to 12 years ago at what themes were prominent between June 2013 and July 2014. Those themes are most likely to repeat at another level. If you are able to identify the themes you interacted with at the time, a good idea would be to further them with intentionality in order to put in the most into the season or get the most out of the season, as the case may be. Intercessors for the country can cast their minds back to 2013 – 2014 to see themes that need to be watched over prayerfully and how those themes are repeating today.
Though Jupiter is typically beneficial, in some cases it can also expand the unsavory tendencies and behaviors that we may not be pleased with such as over sensitivity and moodiness, over sentimentality and emotionality over the past, getting too involved in family affairs that you should stay separated from, being overly protective, over indulging in food and getting seriously overweight.
Cancer being a cardinal sign in which Jupiter is very much at home in, the transit will support initiation and action to be taken where necessary.
