Spica and the Land of Promise

11 min read

The state of Palestine, at the end of World War 1 when the Ottoman empire was defeated, came under the administration of the British government by an agreement known as the Mandate for Palestine. The mandate was signed in September 1923 in London.

The chart for the event shows that the IC (Imum Coeli which is a point that represents roots, ancestry, family, land) was at 23° of Libra. The IC in a chart speaks of the homeland, the boundary of the home, the security of the home, legacy, the nature of nurturance the entity needs to thrive, ancestry and the mother. The Libra IC also suggests that the homeland is established by diplomatic relationships and agreements as Libra is the sign of diplomatic relations, covenants bound by law such as marriage unions, partnerships and indeed the Mandate for Palestine.

Come May 1948, by significant diplomatic relations, the state of Israel is born, effectively bringing the Mandate for Palestine to an end. At the time of Israel’s birth, her Ascendant is at 23° Libra, showing that this is a nation that wears the mask of diplomatic relations and covenant agreements; with covenant agreements going as far back to the ancient covenant between God and Abraham … “to thee and thy seed have I given this land”, and that the nation is seen through this ancient relationship. With Spica on Israel’s Ascendant, the nation steps into global society as on the strength of the everlasting covenant between Elohim and Abraham. In our day the covenant is being upheld by diplomatic relations with other nations and global organizations. It also steps onto the global stage as a startup nation of talented people working on the land in some cases with their bare hands and gaining prosperity and abundance, demonstrating faithfulness.

Here are two nations, laying claim to the Land of covenant, and claiming ownership of same by covenant and both nations connected to the land by the same degree – 23° Libra.

In 1993, under the Clinton administration, the Oslo Accord was signed in which Israel and Palestine agreed to coexist for peace’s sake. When they signed that agreement, Mars was conjunct 23° Libra. Mars is not a planet of peace but rather of war, violence and aggression and suggests as has been profoundly demonstrated over the years since the Oslo Accords, that both countries could not uphold the terms of the Oslo Peace Accord, and that fighting and aggression will continue over the Land and the covenant establishing it.

October 7, 2023, 100 years after the Mandate for Palestine, the same number of the Patriarch Abrahams age when Isaac, the child of Covenant over the land was born, Hamas strikes Israel in a gruesome attack second only to the holocaust. That attack came on the wings of an eclipse conjunct 23° Libra marking 100 years of failed diplomacy over the covenant regarding the Land.

The significance of 23° Libra is further deepened by this information because it now appears that 23° Libra is connected to the everlasting covenant over the fruitful land between God and Abraham. To what extent is 23° Libra connected to the expression of Abrahamic Covenant and can we say that it represents a dimension or expression of the blessings of Abraham in Christ? And what exactly is at 23°Libra?

Spica, Hand of God

At 23° Libra rests the star Spica, brightest star in the hand of Virgo the only woman represented among the 12 signs and constellations, which gives her a unique level of prominence. Spica in the hand of Virgo represents the sheaf of grain in her hand which speaks of harvest, abundance, provision, resources in the pantry and provision in general etc. Now, that makes a whole lot of sense because the Land of covenant is a land of harvest – Joshua and the people coming to Gilgal at the time of harvest and eating corn of the land, ending the years of Manna (Joshua 5:11 -12) demonstrates this along with several other mentions in scripture.

My encounter with this star began about 3 years ago in which I have directly experienced its influence with exactitude and certainty so that I can attest to the fact that it is associated with release of resources, provision and inflow. But I must first say that the discovery of Spica is best experienced when one lives according to the biblical principle of sowing and reaping and “give and it shall be given to you”.

My Spica encounters

Sometime in 2023, I dreamt of being in a location I knew to be in the middle east. The stars in the heavens were hanging so low and bright, and I could identify them by name. One of the stars I recognized was Spica and I was excited to see it hanging very low in the sky. I knew in that dream that I needed to do a reticulation, like in plumbing, to pipe the water, or star energy in a manner that it flows seamlessly through the house. I began to do this in the dream and soon there was some flow coming from the taps. The flow wasn’t coming yet with pressure as I would like but there was an optimism and joy that I felt in the dream that the reticulation had begun to work and that the yield would increase as it is perfected.

Again in 2024, I dreamt of being in the heavens and something was being operated like technology. In the dream it was very clear to me what was being operated but as soon as I awoke, it became vague, but rather a song was given me on waking. Jen Johnson’s song “Goodness of God” sprang up in my heart and stayed with me. The lyrics quickly connected with me as I understood that the goodness of God was the outcome of the technology being operated in my dream.

The next night though, the dream repeated but this time I had a level of clarity and presence of mind to wake up knowing to some extent where I had been and what I had seen. I was again in a region of heaven and Spica was being operated by some beings like it was technology. On awaking, I found the hymn/song “Great is thy faithfulness” playing in my mind with the portion “all I have needed thy hand has provided” firmly standing out.

It was clear that the Lord was showing Spica, the star in the hand of Virgo to be His hand of provision, and just as I had dreamt of reticulating its energy like a plumbing technology, there is indeed a technology behind it as I had seen in the dream. After this encounter, scriptures about the hand of Elohim and His faithfulness began to just pop up in my heart even at random times. Based on these scriptures and how Spica has been experienced among some members of our community, one can categorically say that Spica is associated with experiencing the benevolent hand of God in provision of resources, inflow that enables a person meet their obligation to wards, staff such as payment of salaries and resources with which to meet the needs of the home.

The knowledge of the heavens is absolutely humbling and awe inspiring. The wisdom of the Creator in placing the stars with their various energies and consciousness in their courses is unparalleled. Indeed “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names” (Psalm 147:4), and each name shows the nature and consciousness each embodies. The name Spica for instance as it has come down to us means “ear of wheat” or “ear of corn”, the corn which they ate on entering the land of promise at the end of the season of manna.

Having placed the stars that surround the ecliptic in their positions, He caused the Moon to visit each star every month, releasing its sweet influence in its wake, allowing certain energies to become heightened and potent, supporting human endeavors on Earth. This is my understanding of things today while I remain open for a different perspective through experience.

So, every month, as the Moon visits Spica, the hand of Elohim makes a release (there may be other stars similar in their impact), supporting our store houses to be replenished. The Moon itself speaks about mothers, our home, our sense of security, our needs, the pantry, food and provision among other things, therefore, its impact in partnership with Spica is very much in character, especially when you consider the fact that Spica is the star in the hand of Virgo, the only feminine among the12 constellations (though some say that The Water Bearer used to be depicted as a female), further amplifying the energy of motherly provisions in the home.

Some scriptures to consider

  1. Proverbs 31:10-31
  2. Psalm 89:13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

Personally, I try to make my giving’s and offerings on that day or around that day. I find that when we interact properly, Spica – Moon days are often the days in which I expect money to come in. The way Spica is set up is to bless those who receive and bless others out of what they have received, so be sure to practice biblical giving if you are going to journey with this. I suggest you take time to speak to the Lord and ask for yourself, what He would want you as a person to do to begin the journey. Let those days be days you spend time to express gratitude to the Lord rather than asking for needs to be met. Sometimes our asking doesn’t acknowledge the fact that “all I have needed thy hand has provided” but with the right perspective, you will rather give thanks from a place of full assurance of faith in what He has already abundantly provided. With this I invite you to taste and see that the Lord is good. Perhaps this is a journey awaiting you, to experience this well of abundance for yourself by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

In conclusion

Spica, “Ear or corn” is a star known to express supply of provision for those who relate with it in faithfulness. It is a star which seems to be connected to the fruitfulness of the land of promise which when Joshua brought in the people into Gilgal, they ate the harvest of the land in the selfsame day. This star is prominently placed on the charts of Israel and Palestine where they speak about a prosperous nation. But one doesn’t need to live in the geographical location to experience the blessings of the Land. You can choose to connect with this heavenly light from wherever you are.
